Registration

Preliminary information due to the global impact of COVID-19:

It has been decided to postpone the VGC2020 conference to 2021.

Concerning the registration, the following rules will be applied, depending on the considered scenarios due to COVID-19 restrictions:

  • Full cancellation of the conference: 100% of the registration fees will be reimbursed;
  • Cancellation of attendees: 100% of the registration fees will be reimbursed;
  • Postponement of the conference: the registration fees will be kept until the new date;
  • Virtualization of the conference: part of the registration fees will be reimbursed, on a prorata of the management costs.

 

Registration fees:

Early bird registration will be open until 13 August 2020. Register before then to enjoy a substantial discount on VGC participation. Standard registration will then be available until 15 October 2020. Full-time students benefit from a heavily reduced registration fee.

The registration fee (full and student) includes:

  • Access to the conference programme
  • Entry to exhibition and poster space
  • Printed conference material
  • Icebreaker reception
  • Tea and coffee breaks

Options:

Conference dinner: it will give the chance to get to know colleagues in a relaxed setting. Note that places for the conference dinner are limited (80 attendees), so please register early to avoid missing this event!

Short courses: they are proposed October, the 21st  2020. Maximum number of participants is 20 per course.

The list of proposed short courses is presented below:

  • Short Course #1: VirtuaField (S. Viseur, J. Lamarche, J. Borgomano, P. Léonide, F. Civet): it includes a field trip at La Fare les Oliviers and a virtual experience using the Virtuafield software whose aim is to train students to field practice. The virtual field trip is located in the beautiful place of "chateau Virant". It includes lunch, transport, guided visit of the cellar, the oil mill and the wine and olive museum, and wine and oil tasting.

Important note: For this course, closing date for registration is September, the 15th 2020.

 

 

 

  • Short Course #4: Geomodelling (G. Caumon): introduction to geomodelling issues and solutions. It includes lunch and coffee break.
